This autumn we ran two courses, a foundation course in herbal medicine and a women’s health course. Both courses were fully booked and well received. The foundation course, as well as being packed with information, included making lots of different herbal remedies like tinctures, syrups, ointments and vinegars, as well as a fantastic recipe for fire cider brought over from Becs’ time in New Orleans.

The women’s health course included a redefining look at the female anatomy, understanding cycles and how to treat common conditions with herbs. In the last class we made an iron tonic.

We’re running more courses this year so please check our workshops page

This was the first Intermediate course I ran which follows on from the Foundation, but is also suitable for those who have some previous herbal knowledge. It focuses on different body systems and the herbs specific to them. It also explores herbal therapeutics and herbal energetics in greater depth.

This was the second time I ran the Foundation Course, and again it was full of great people that I enjoyed getting to know. Here we are making a ‘magic healing’ salve that you use on cuts, rashes and burns. This was part of the Herbal First Aid class where I taught how to use herbs for common complaints and basic first aid situations.
