The Clinic
Rhizome Community Herbal Clinic has been set up in Bristol to provide high quality herbal treatments on a sliding scale basis to the local community.
The clinic is based at Wellspring Healthy Living Centre, Beam Street, Barton Hill, Bristol, BS5 9QY.
We are passionate that herbal medicine should be available to everyone. It is not available on the NHS and therefore herbalists, unlike doctors paid by the state, have to charge a fee to make a living. We want to offer a real alternative to ‘free’ conventional medicine by obtaining funding to provide herbal treatments free at the point of service. Until this is possible, we are using a sliding fee scale to try and ensure equal access to our services, regardless of income.
The herbalist at Rhizome Clinic is a qualified medical herbalist with a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the largest professional body of medical herbalists in the UK established in 1864.
